We Make Real Indulgences
Industrial Chocolate is filled with additives and doesn't prioritize true health - It's due for an upgrade!
As a small new wave chocolatier, we're here to make uniquely delicious indulgences that you can enjoy, while feeling great about what you're eating.
We do this by only using the highest quality ingredients that we trust and personally eat everyday (Big dessert people). Zero additives, GMOs, or emulsifiers. It's that simple.
Let's Talk Chocolate
Cacao is an amazing fruit, but unfortunately big chocolate has taken shortcuts that minimize it's health benefits.
Soy Lecithin? Vanillan? Butyric acid? These unnatural additives make it easier to mass produce and flavor chocolate, but have confirmed negative side effects. Why compromise on your health?
What do We Use? 70% dark chocolate made of ethically sourced organic cacao from the Dominican Republic, organic coconut sugar, and organic cocoa butter. We currently source from a San Diego bean to bar maker, but our goal is to move to making our own blends soon!
The Benefits? Cacao's antioxidants, and critical minerals like magnesium and Zinc, have studied outcomes including improved bloodflow, cardiovascular health, and mood. Important, no?
Why Dates?
Organic Medjool Dates are an ultra nutritious sweetener that is 100% natural
Southern California produces 95% of the medjool dates in the U.S. So you're supporting local farms
Medjool Dates are high in electrolytes, and low in sugar absortion rate, which means quality sustained energy!
How it Started
Tired of additives in her food and looking for that perfect decadent & wholesome treat, Michelle created Mild Addictions by simply playing around in her apartment kitchen during Covid, "just making something I wanted to eat for myself".
Her fiance Alex tried it, loved it, and joined in early on. Together they launched Mild Addictions in January 2023.
While the business is still in it's early days, they're here to make healthier, handcrafted indulgences for everyone!
